Job Description:
Design Verification Engineer Seattle, WABluehawk Consulting is
seeking an experienced Design Verification Engineer to support the
development and validation of a new, cutting-edge optical
solutions. This is a contract role, ideal for someone with a strong
background in engineering, testing, and verification of embedded or
ruggedized products and/or optical systems. The successful
candidate will play a key role in ensuring our clients' designs
meet performance, reliability, and quality standards through
rigorous testing and analysis.Responsibilities
- Design Verification: Perform design verification and validation
for the solution, ensuring adherence to specifications and design
goals.
- Test Planning: Develop and execute detailed test plans for
optical components, assemblies, and systems, covering functional,
environmental, and performance aspects.
- Optical Testing: Conduct hands-on testing of optical systems,
including but not limited to performance analysis of lenses,
mirrors, beam shaping optics, waveguides, detectors, and imaging
systems.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, identify
issues, and report findings. Provide actionable recommendations for
design improvements and optimization.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test reports, test
procedures, and verification documentation in compliance with
company and industry standards.
- Tool & Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate optical testing
equipment, such as interferometers, spectrometers, power meters,
and imaging systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues related to optical system
performance and suggest corrective actions or design
modifications.
- Compliance: Ensure verification activities comply with industry
standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO and IEC
standards as applicable.Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in design verification, testing, or
related fields, with hands-on experience in optical measurement
tools and techniques a plus.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with Python for data analysis and
automation is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills,
with the ability to identify root causes and provide actionable
solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to produce clear, concise reports and technical
documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all
testing and documentation.Education Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics,
Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Salary Range for this
position: $113,000 - $125,500Bluehawk is committed to employing a
