Job description
As part of the Architecture and Engineering team, you will be
focused on Microsoft Azure and M365, you will play a crucial role
in protecting our cloud-based systems and data. You will work
closely with development, infrastructure, and Security teams to
advise on best practices for security measures, respond to
incidents, perform validations that security controls are effective
and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
You will help the teams deliver and support the foundational
security technology used by Expeditors within our Cloud Service
Provider environments. In this role, you will be a key part of
enabling acceleration of application transformation through
championing a secure-by-design and secure-by-default mindset.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and advise regarding security solutions in Microsoft
Azure.
Conduct security assessments and validations of Azure
environments.
Develop security policies, procedures, and standards for Azure and
M365 environments.
Implement and maintain firewalls in Azure.
Monitor security alerts and manage incident response for
Azure-related security events in conjunction with other members of
the Cyber Defense team.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best
practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and
technologies.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g.,
GDPR, SOX, CMMC, ISO 27001).
Responsible for drafting support documentation, technical
standards, and operational processes for an existing and evolving
application delivery environment.
Assists in establishing, optimizing, and enhancing regulatory and
compliance processes.
Continuously learns and evolves skill set to remain current with
evolving application delivery best practices and methods.
Completes technical security deliverables on assigned projects.
Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a high
functioning team.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle,
WA. area at one of the following locations depending on
availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Job requirements
MINIMUM QUAIFICATIONS
Intermediate knowledge of Azure and M365 security practices and
networking.
Prior experience collaborating with a variety of technical teams,
including application and infrastructure teams.
Possess troubleshooting skills in the areas of cloud security,
cloud networking and Azure Private DNS.
Inquisitive and questioning nature with the goal of collaborating
to find solutions.
Ability to easily adapt to changing requirements and
priorities.
Proficient documentation skills.
Exemplary communication and teamwork abilities, including the
ability to champion security principles to those with varying
levels of security backgrounds.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work
experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Technology,
Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or
related field(s) preferred.
Minimum 5 years' professional experience in a technical engineering
position involving infrastructure design technologies, data
management and interchange, system design and / or development for
complex applications.
Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements
into structured high-quality implementations using any variety of
industry standard approaches.
Experience with Azure security tools and services.
Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and other security
technologies.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI,
or Bash.
Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate,
CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.

Application procedure
Expected base salary: $130,000 to $175,000
