Job Description:
Account Executive Job DescriptionAlera Group is seeking a highly
skilled Account Executive to join their team. As a key member of
our organization, you will be responsible for managing key accounts
in the Sr. Care Industry, collaborating with producers, and serving
as a key resource within a group of account management staff.Key
Responsibilities:
- Manage a large complex book of business, typically
$1,000,000-$1,500,000 revenue, with considerable expertise.
- Respond to formal RFPs and independently maintain new and
existing client relationships with minimal supervision or producer
involvement.
- Coordinate team functions, including leadership and mentorship,
client relationship maintenance, and collaborative team
environment.
- Participate in staff hiring and separation decisions, training
of new team members, and approval of time-off requests and
timesheets.
- Approve expense reports within expense authority level.Job
Functions:
- Routinely visit with clients and function as the primary
contact for coverage consultation and service issues.
- Manage the renewal process, including internal and external
pre-renewal strategy meetings, decision-making with clients, and
oversight of the renewal proposal.
- Interact with carrier underwriters to negotiate renewal and new
business quotes.
- Establish, implement, and manage written service timelines and
service calendars, ensuring commitments are adhered to, in line
with client expectations.
- Participate in client meetings to support retention and sales
efforts, as requested by producers.
- Complete and maintain client stewardship reports.
- Advise clients regarding coverage and risk exposures, reviewing
contracts and policies, and negotiating with carriers to minimize
gaps and omissions.
- Audit sales executives' books, reviewing for potential gaps in
coverage or coverages yet to offer, and ensuring these gaps are
addressed.
- Research coverage issues, including negotiating with carriers
to resolve client needs and expectations.
- Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries and
problems.
- Attend claims reviews, ensuring claims issues are addressed and
resolved.
- Prepare new business opportunities for marketing, submit
prospects to selected markets, analyze proposals & quotes, and
negotiate final coverage terms and pricing.
- Prepare spreadsheets and other complex charts as needed or
requested.
- Monitor expiration lists and receivables, ensuring financials
are within established goals and timelines, facilitating collection
of outstanding receivables if necessary.Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior commercial account
management role (typically 10+ years total insurance
experience).
- State property & casualty agent's license.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically holds multiple insurance designations.Other
Requirements:
- Frequent travel to client sites. Occasional travel to branch
office locations, seminars, training, and conferences.Alera Group
